To that small bit of God's Country from the crest of the Sierra Nevada to the eastern edge of the White-Inyo Range and from Convict Lake and Hot Creek south to Papoose Flat - an area where the geological diversity is greater than any other place of equal size - and to the succession of field students who have made the teaching of geology a wonderful experience.
