Marienplatz is the central square of Munich. It is closed to vehicular traffic. It is typically crowded with people. The main rapid transit station is 50 feet undergound where all the S-Bahn and U-Bahn trains, converge. Several trams and bus lines also run nearby. Even bicycles are diverted to the side.
