The weather was beautiful. We couldn't have asked for better. It was slightly warm. A cloudless sky stayed with us all day. We started around 10:30am and planned to be back at the car at 4:00pm. We ended up hiking only about four miles, stopping about every 50 feet at one rock outcrop or another...geologizing.
