Sherry, Marty, and Dave arrive on Southwest Airlines in Oakland, California, and take BART to San Francisco. This is the Oakland BART station. Allow time for the AirBART shuttle to pick you up. It goes every 10 minutes, but takes about 30 minutes to go from the airport to the BART station. I have no idea why it takes so long. Maybe we go the scenic route. Or, maybe the drivers are paid by the hour, not the mile! Then allow time at the ticket machine. BART's ticketing policy and execution is frustrating, time consuming, and all around absurd.
